Me Vs. Me – The Battle Within
Posted by Michelle Greene | Posted in Self Esteem | Posted on 12-29-2009
Here’s a thought I want to share with you today and it’s basically about the war we have within ourselves.
Every day, there is a constant battle of emotions going on in relation to your self worth. By nature, people are naturally negative. I know this is a negative view, but it really is, I wish it wasn’t true. However, if you’ve decided to live an extraordinary life, you are going to have to prepare for this internal battle on a daily basis.
The war I’m speaking about is the struggle within that goes on with the image you have of yourself. It doesn’t matter who you are, we all have to deal with this struggle on a daily basis. Common thoughts may be ‘I’m not good enough’, ‘I’m not smart enough’, ‘I’m not worthy enough’ or any other excuse you can think of.
The internal daily dialougue can be true or false. But more likely, it basically ruins your self image. If you don’t develop a strong self image, you will continue to live your life as a puppet on someone else’s stage of life. Don’t be at their beck and call. Take steps to develop a strong and healthy self image.
Stop looking for approval from others. Most people will not be your cheerleader. You don’t need their permission. Only you can give yourself the permission to play big and life the life you want. You will need to be fully prepared as you participate in this daily struggle of me versus me. What are some of the common things that you battle on a daily basis? I’d love to hear your comments.
