Since it’s  ‘Christmas in July’, (just check any of the home shopping shows), I got to thinking about 2017.

Time speeds up.

And it seems that it goes by faster the more candles you have on your birthday cake.

I’ll be celebrating mine on the 31st of this month, so I’m totally aware of time.

Earlier this year, I was reluctant to set a resolution to lose weight. I almost felt that it was useless to even attempt to lose weight.

Despite this, I said I’d give it one more shot on my own. If it didn’t work, I’d go the surgical route.

After seeing a show on Doctor Oz about weight loss surgery, I did some research online.

I’m so squeamish that I was reluctant to deal with the afermath I would have for the rest of my life.

So, I felt like losing weight the old fashioned way was a last ditch effort.

I started the end of February 2016.

It’s now July 16th and as of today, I’ve lost a total of 36 pounds. And I’m more than halfway to my 60 pound goal!
